True Image 10 came out last Oct I think and it works great with Vista excepting that though you tell the damned program how many backups and/or how many gigs you want to allocate for backups, it entirely ignores it. I wouldn't trust Secure Zone to work properly but it images correctly and restores the same.

Small technical question
He was still trying to install Vista with his DVD-R copy, he some how managed to get it past the "press any key" stage. It was never going to work on that particular DVD-ROM drive as even though he got past the press any key stage it was freezing at the completing install stage of Vista install.

Vista is actually installed on /dev/sdb1. So, on vista, drive C: is /dev/sdb1 (disk 2). Drive E: is /dev/sda1 (disk 1). I suppose this is what I get when you let someone else build your system :) If you have a proper Vista install disk, I recommend starting from scratch, as this setup is far too convoluted.
